Guilds were associations of craftsmen or merchants that were formed during the medieval period to regulate the practice of their trade or craft. They set standards for quality, training, and pricing, and provided support and protection for their members. Guilds also played a role in the social and economic life of medieval towns and cities, often controlling the local economy and influencing political decisions. Over time, guilds evolved and eventually declined with the rise of industrialization and modern trade practices. **

Guilds were formed in medieval Europe to protect the interests of skilled workers in a particular trade or craft. They provided a sense of community and support for members, as well as setting standards for quality and pricing of goods and services. Guilds also helped to regulate apprenticeships and training, ensuring that skills were passed down through generations and maintaining a level of expertise within the industry. Additionally, guilds often had a social and religious aspect, providing members with a sense of belonging and identity. **

In The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), guilds are player-created groups that allow players to come together and participate in various activities such as questing, trading, and PvP. Players can join multiple guilds, each with its own focus and activities. Guilds have their own chat channels, bank storage, and can even have their own guild trader to sell items to other players. Guilds also offer a sense of community and camaraderie, allowing players to connect with others who share similar interests and goals within the game. **

In Oblivion, guilds are organizations that players can join to pursue specific skills and quests. Each guild focuses on a different set of skills, such as the Fighters Guild for combat skills or the Mages Guild for magic skills. To join a guild, players must complete a specific task or quest to prove their worth. Once a member, players can take on guild-specific quests to advance in rank and gain access to unique rewards and benefits. Overall, guilds in Oblivion provide a structured way for players to develop their character's skills and progress through the game. **

You may be afraid of guilds because you fear the pressure to conform to their rules and expectations, the potential for exclusion or rejection if you don't fit in, or the power dynamics that can arise within a guild. Additionally, the idea of being judged or criticized by other members of the guild may contribute to your fear. It's also possible that you worry about the time commitment and responsibilities that come with being part of a guild. **
